The rules
Version of August 6, 2026 · If this page differs from any other posting (including the Trackman screens), this page prevails.
1. Participation and Trackman accounts
1.1. Taking part in the League is free. No prior registration and no fee are required. The simulator time needed to play remains payable under the rates, memberships or passes in effect; no simulator time is included in the League.
1.2. To take part, the player must be signed in to their own Trackman account when starting their round. A round played in guest mode, or on someone else's account, does not appear in the standings and does not count, without exception.
1.3. Trackman requires a minimum of 4 completed rounds on a player's record before a tournament round can be started. A player who has not reached that minimum cannot take part until they do.
1.4. Each League week is played in the matching Trackman tournament, available on site: Competition tab → that week's tournament. Selecting the right tournament is the player's responsibility; a round played in the wrong tournament, or outside a tournament, cannot be transferred.
2. Play format and attempts
2.1. The season runs 29 weeks, from September 21, 2026 to May 2, 2027, with a break from December 21, 2026 to January 10, 2027. Each week opens Monday at 12:00 a.m. and closes Sunday at 11:59 p.m.
2.2. Each round is 18 holes, played solo, in stroke play. Conditions are identical for everyone and for the whole season: gimmies at 4 feet, manual (aimed) putting, calm wind, medium fairway and green firmness, green speed 9. Separate tees are set for women and for men.
2.3. Each player gets a maximum of two attempts per week. The better of the two counts, for both the gross and the net standings.
2.4. A round that has been started cannot be restarted or resumed. Players must make sure they have enough time to finish all 18 holes before starting. An unfinished round counts as a used attempt and is not eligible for prizes. The only exception is set out in article 6 (technical failures).
3. Categories and handicap
3.1. Players are placed in four categories based on their Trackman handicap:
| Category | Trackman handicap |
|---|---|
| Albatross | 1.0 and under (including “+” handicaps) |
| Eagle | 1.1 to 5.0 |
| Birdie | 5.1 to 10.0 |
| Par | 10.1 and over |
3.2. The Trackman handicap is calculated automatically by the system from the rounds played and cannot be changed manually by anyone, including Le Birdie. It moves with every round; a player's category follows their handicap automatically.
3.3. Weekly snapshot: a player's category and handicap for a given week are those in effect at the time of their first attempt that week. Both attempts count in that category, even if their handicap crosses a category line in between.
3.4. Category lines are fixed for the whole season. No categories are merged; quiet weeks are covered by the floor set out in article 4.4.
4. Weekly prizes and payouts
4.1. Gross prize (per category): each week, the best gross score in each category wins $10 per participant in that category that week. Example: 7 participants in the Eagle category = $70 to the Eagle winner.
4.2. Net prize (all categories combined): each week, the best net score among all participants wins $5 per participant that week, paid in Birdie credit only. The net score uses the weekly snapshot handicap (article 3.3). A player cannot win the net prize more than three (3) times per season; beyond that, the prize goes to the second-best net score.
4.3. A player may win both the gross and the net prize in the same week. A participant is anyone who has completed at least one attempt during the week.
4.4. Floor: a category's weekly prize cannot be less than $30.
4.5. Ties: ties are settled according to Trackman's official tie-breaking procedure.
4.6. Payouts: prizes are totalled by calendar month and paid within 7 days following the end of the month. Gross prizes are paid, at the winner's choice, in cash or in Birdie credit; net prizes are paid in Birdie credit only. Winners must provide their contact details to receive payment. Any prize unclaimed within 60 days after the end of the season is void.
4.7. The official standings for each week are those published on Monday at lebirdie.golf/en/league. The season totals shown in the app or on the Trackman screens are for information only.
5. Tickets and draws
5.1. Two travel credits worth $4,000 each will be drawn on May 3, 2027 from the tickets accumulated during the season. The terms of use of the credits will be communicated to the winners.
5.2. How tickets are earned:
| Source | Tickets |
|---|---|
| Each completed League round | 1 (maximum 2 per week) |
| At least one completed round every week of a calendar month | +3 |
| At least one completed round in each of the 4 weeks of April | +5 |
| At least one completed round in 25 of the 29 weeks | +10 |
| Best Longest Drive of the week (designated hole) | +1 |
| Best Closest to the Pin of the week (designated hole) | +1 |
A player cannot accumulate more than 10 combined tickets from the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin contests over the season.
5.3. The designated Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin holes are listed in the season schedule and are set in that week's Trackman tournament.
5.4. Draw eligibility: residents of Quebec aged 18 and over.
5.5. No-purchase entry: any person of legal age residing in Quebec may obtain one (1) draw ticket without playing and without purchase by mailing a handwritten request to [Le Birdie mailing address], including their name, address, phone number and email address. Limit of one ticket per envelope per day. Requests must be received no later than May 1, 2027.
5.6. Skill-testing question: any person selected in a draw must, before being declared a winner, correctly answer without assistance a mathematical skill-testing question administered by phone or email. If they refuse or fail, another ticket is drawn.
5.7. Le Birdie employees and their immediate family members living under the same roof are not eligible for the draws.
6. Technical failures
6.1. If a round is interrupted by a technical failure of the simulator (outage, system freeze, software error), the player must report it immediately, on site, to a member of the Birdie team, before leaving the bay.
6.2. Once the team has observed and confirmed the failure, the attempt is returned to the player: it does not count toward their maximum of two attempts that week.
6.3. No attempt is returned for a failure reported after the fact, remotely, or without the team's observation, nor for running out of time, selecting the wrong tournament, or playing in guest mode.
7. Integrity and reclassification
7.1. Because the Trackman handicap is calculated solely by the system from the rounds played, any round played outside the League affects the handicap and stays visible on the player's record.
7.2. Le Birdie reserves the right to move a player up a category, for the rest of the season, where there is a systematic and obvious gap between their League scores and their posted handicap that points to handicap manipulation (in particular rounds deliberately played poorly outside the League).
7.3. The following are violations: deliberate handicap manipulation, playing on someone else's account, any form of unauthorized assistance during a League round, and any manoeuvre intended to distort the standings or the allocation of tickets.
7.4. Process: before any sanction, the player is informed of the allegations and given the opportunity to respond. Possible sanctions are, depending on severity: reclassification, cancellation of the results in question, and exclusion from the current League and from future Birdie leagues. The final decision rests with Le Birdie.
8. Public register and personal information
8.1. A register of standings, winnings and draw tickets is published at lebirdie.golf/en/league and updated every Monday.
8.2. Players are identified by first name and last-name initial (e.g. “Benoit M.”). A player's full name is published only with their explicit consent, obtained at the time of their first prize payout.
8.3. Contact details provided for payouts are used only to administer the League and pay out prizes. A player may ask at any time to have their name removed from the register by writing to info@lebirdie.golf; their results are then shown anonymously.
8.4. Le Birdie may photograph or film prize presentations to promote the League, with the agreement of the people involved at the time of filming.
9. General provisions
9.1. Le Birdie reserves the right to amend these rules during the season if circumstances beyond its control require it (in particular a prolonged failure of the Trackman platform). Any amendment is announced at lebirdie.golf/en/league and never applies retroactively to prizes already earned.
9.2. By taking part in the League, the player acknowledges having read these rules and accepts them.
9.3. Questions: info@lebirdie.golf or in person at any of our four centres.
